Conversion Tracking Setup
New in V2.4.0.0 is Conversion Tracking. Conversion Tracking is the latest
measurement method of a web site’s effectiveness and helps you track your
online marketing efforts. In essence it measures a web site’s ability to persuade
visitors to perform a desired action. The desired action or conversion is usually
the completion of an order but can also be the signing up for a newsletter, the
joining of a forum or any other action that you want your web site’s visitors to
make. You can track almost any kind of web site action and measure it’s
effectiveness. Click the Conversion Tracking Setup menu item from the Options
tab do display the Conversion Tracking Setup screen shown below:
The name of the pages to track is displayed on the left. Clicking the page name
reveals the tracking details. The following fields are defined per page:
Page Name – The name or part of the name of the page to track, for instance
download.asp or just down will track anything with download.asp or down in the
page name.
Amount – The revenue generated when this page is reached.
